Your senior year is a milestone!  It's time to celebrate all your accomplishments with a professional photo session with Brent Murphy.  As a long, long ago high school student, and the father of two current high schoolers, I know you have put in all the hard work over the past twelve years, and you are now getting ready to move onto the next stage of your life, wherever that may lead.

Let's work together to put together a perfect photo package to commemorate this exciting time in your life!  All the information you need can be found below.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me!

How It Works

Your Session

Well, the first thing to do is give me a call or send me an email.  I can get to know you, and what exactly you are looking for with your session.  We will discuss possible dates, times, and locations, as well as what length of session you might be looking for.  Evening sessions tend to provide the best light, but we can determine what will work best for your particular session.

When the date arrives, we will meet at the location for our shoot.  I will discuss with you the types of photos we can take, and the various shooting locations at the site.  We will work together on a number of shots, including the photo required for your school's yearbook.  I will have a portable changing tent for outfit changes, if needed.  Payment of the session fee is required the day of the session.

After Your Session

After the session, I will begin the editing process.  Within a few days, I will sort through the images to prepare a proof set for you to review.  We can review the proofs online or in person.  These proofs will be only minimally edited, with some brightness/contrast corrections.   At that meeting, we will discuss options for purchasing digital files or prints, as well as which photo you would like for the school yearbook, and you can select the images you wish to proceed with for final edits.  Those selected photos will undergo a complete editing process.

I will quickly complete the yearbook photo and send to you for submission to the school.  If you would like me to submit the file, I can do that as well.  I will complete the editing of the rest of the images over the next week, preparing the final digital files or submitting images for printing.

If purchased, I will provide a link to a download site for access to your files, as well as ship you a flash drive containing your images.  I will also ship your prints, if purchased.  At this time, I will also issue the final invoice.

Prices for my Senior Sessions are broken out by session costs and product costs.  The typical Senior Session is one-hour, although we can do a quick 30-minute session, or a more involved two-hour session if needed.  I don't put a limit on outfit changes for any of my sessions, but keep in mind that outfit changes can take time.  Thirty-minute and one-hour sessions will typically take place at one location, while two-hour sessions might be able to accommodate multiple locations if desired.  I like to choose locations that can offer a lot of different looks without having to move too far.

30 minutes: $100

1 hour:  $150

2 hours: $200

The session fee includes the photo session as well as your yearbook photo.  A typical senior session will be about an hour, but we can do more or less, depending on your needs.  Give me a call or send and email to discuss!

I will ask for a $50 deposit at the time we sign a contract, to hold the date.  The remainder of the session fee is due at the photo session.

In addition to the yearbook photo that is included with your session, most seniors will want a selection of photos.  We do not offer predefined packages, everything is offered a la carte.  You have the choice of purchasing high-resolution digital files or beautiful prints in a variety of styles.

Digital files can be purchased at a cost of $25 each for the first ten photos.  Beyond ten, the cost per photo is $15 each.  The digital files will include a print license which will allow you to take the files to have them printed at the printer of your choice.  Files can be downloaded from my web site once the final edits are complete.

I also offer plenty of high-quality printed products, including prints on photo paper, canvas, metal, wood and more!  We can discuss these options at your proof viewing or anytime after your session.

A final invoice will be sent with your purchased products, and final payment will be due upon receipt.

Further details on available products and my product price list are available as a downloadable PDF HERE.

Where will my photos be taken?

All photo sessions will be outdoors.  There are a number of locations I like to use, but I am open to anything!  Your photos should reflect your personality, so let's talk about what you are looking for, and go from there!  I am happy to shoot anywhere in the Denver/Boulder metro area.

Is my yearbook photo included?

Yes, your yearbook photo is included.  You probably received photo requirements from your school.  Please bring that to your session, or feel free to email them to me ahead of time.  While reviewing your proofs, you will select your yearbook photo.  I will edit that photo first, and send it you to for submission to the school.  If you would like me to send it to the school instead, I can do that, too.

How many outfits should I bring?

That is completely up to you!  I don't put a limit on outfit changes, although more outfit changes will take a longer session.  Before we start the session, we will talk about our location, and how to plan the shoot and the outfit changes.  I will bring a portable changing tent you can use for outfit changes.  Make sure clothing is ironed!

Can I bring props to my session?

Of course!  Sports gear, musical instruments or your letter jacket.  Whatever you want to show off your personality!

What if it rains?

I will keep an eye on the weather forecast as your session date gets closer.  If the weather looks questionable, I will contact you about moving to a different time or date.

What should I bring to my senior session?

In additional to your different outfits, I would recommend bringing a brush/comb, extra hair bands, lint brush, powder, and lipstick for touch-ups.  And don't forget to bring a fun, positive attitude!

How long will it take to view my photos?

I will provide proofs within a few days of the session.  We can review these online or in person.  Once you make the selection of what photos you would like to purchase, final edits will take from 1-3 weeks.

What type of payment are accepted?

I accept cash, check, Paypal and Venmo.

I look forward to working with you to help create wonderful memories of your senior year!  Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions you might have, or to schedule your Senior Session!   303.884.4454
