This surreal shot was created using an exposure time of a few hours, to capture the movement of the stars. To my surprise, however, an amazing display of aurora borealis (northern lights) began to light up the sky to the north, giving this photo an eerie red glow. I was definitely surprised when I saw this piece of film.
